Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. This position requires a passion for working with young children, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure the well-being of all children in our care. . This position is part time only for 2 days a week.
Duties
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks while adhering to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the daycare facility, including kitchen areas used for meal preparation.
- Prepare meals for children with food restrictions and special diets.
- Assist with laundry and cleaning of daycare rooms and other areas in the daycare.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a daycare or childcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and experience in food preparation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques within a food service or restaurant environment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both children and adults.
- Ability to handle food safely and efficiently in a kitchen setting.
- A nurturing attitude with a genuine love for working with children.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check required
