Prerequisite: Elementary school teacher or at least 1000 hours leading large groups of kids in recreation professionally.
We are seeking Camp Coordinators that have, ideally, previously led other camps and staff.
Teacher, lifeguard, ECE, and EA certifications are an asset.

The position will include, but is not limited to:
-Ensuring everyone's safety, wellness, and engagement
-Ensuring everyone's safety in and around the water. We swim almost every day at lakes and pools.
-Collaboratively leading games and activities
-Developing a safe, inclusive, and fun community for all
- Developing positive relationships with parents, kids, youth, staff, volunteers, and the community
-Anticipating potential challenges and de-escalating and resolving them
-Collaborating with the Assistant Camp Coordinator and Camp Director along with Admin, Camp Leaders, and Volunteers
-Training and mentoring staff and volunteers
Full time from June 27-August 29
The position will be outdoors, leading one of our camps. It is suited for someone with extensive experience and training who will act as a lead guide at one of our camps. We are looking for a calm, collaborative, and respectful leader.
Extensive knowledge of games is recommended. A police info check and First Aid certification is required. We seek and value a diverse and inclusive community.
Out-trips at our Tri-Cities Camps include White Pine Beach, the Coquitlam River, Spani Pool, Eagle Ridge Pool, Centennial Pool, Crash Crawly's (if there's heavy rain or wildfire smoke), and more. We meet at (or near) the out-trip of the day.
