Overview
We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various grinding techniques and equipment. As a Grinder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and quality of our products, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties
- Operate grinding machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
- Perform quality inspections on finished parts using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure adherence to tolerances.
- Collaborate with team members to set up and adjust CNC machines for optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery, including milling machines, to fabricate components as needed.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Safely operate cranes and forklifts for material handling within the production area.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in grinding or machining roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with CNC programming is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments for quality inspection.
- Experience operating cranes and forklifts is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.
