Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities. The Custodian will ensure that all areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for both employees and visitors.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment needs.
- Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting larger maintenance issues.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is used safely and properly maintained.
- Follow established safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all employees and visitors.
