Job Summary
As a valued member of our Culinary team, you will support food preparation and presentation across all food and beverage outlets at Sasquatch Mountain Resort. From line cooking and plating to food safety and cleaning, your work is essential in delivering a consistent and quality guest experience. This is a hands-on kitchen role where attention to detail, time management, and teamwork are key. Cross-training across departments is expected to support resort operations, especially during peak periods. Wage: Based on experience- Schedule: Full-time, including weekends and holidays
- Skill Level: Entry Level
- Reports To: Executive Chef
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes as directed by the Executive Chef- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food presentation standards
- Set up and maintain your station throughout the day
- Assist with dish plating and food service across multiple outlets
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, walk-ins, and storage
- Follow food safety guidelines (FoodSafe, HACCP)
- Prepare meals for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies
- Restock and rotate ingredients and supplies
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members
- Assist in other departments as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Previous kitchen experience is an asset, but not required—we provide training- FoodSafe certification required
- Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen sanitation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling high guest volumes with professionalism
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
- Willingness to support other departments and perform alternate duties as needed
- Must be adaptable, respectful, and service-oriented
- All SMR team members are expected to support cross-department collaboration and snow removal
