Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Credit Manager to oversee our credit department and manage the company’s credit policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating creditworthiness, managing credit risk, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
Duties
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk while maximizing revenue.
- Analyze financial statements and credit reports to assess the creditworthiness of potential clients.
- Monitor existing accounts for payment trends and recommend adjustments to credit limits as necessary.
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide insights on customer credit status and assist in decision-making processes.
- Prepare regular reports on credit performance, outstanding receivables, and risk exposure for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to credit management.
- Support accounting/finance department
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous.
- Proven experience as a Credit Manager or similar role in financial services or collections.
- Sage X3 experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing credit management is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
