Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Courier Driver to join our team. As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight and packages to their designated locations in your own personal vehicle at starting. Once the driver is sufficently trained a van will be provided. Vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including vans, trucks, and heavy equipment, to transport freight and packages
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Communicate with dispatchers to receive delivery instructions and updates
- Complete necessary work, mileage records, and vehicle inspection reports
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages with professionalism and courtesy
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving or courier services
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries
- Ability to lift heavy packages and load/unload cargo safely
- Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers and customers
