Highview Residences is a warm, home-like care setting for people living with dementia. We’re looking for a compassionate, team-oriented Part-Time Cook to prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals in our welcoming kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary and texture modification needs
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Engage with residents in a respectful and supportive way
- Ensure meals are served on schedule and to quality standards
Qualifications:
- Food Handler’s Certificate
- Experience in retirement/long-term care or with dementia an asset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physically able to lift, stand, and move for extended periods
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (within 6 months)
- Two-step TB test; current CPR & First Aid
