We’re growing our content library and are looking for a Content Production Director who can elevate the way our coaches and classes come to life on screen. This role is perfect for someone who understands both creative direction and production workflow, and who is passionate about helping coaches deliver their best performance to a global audience.
Position Overview
The Fitness Content Production Director will oversee the planning, filming, and polishing of Step.co’s class content. You’ll guide coaches to shine on camera, ensure each class looks and feels consistent with our brand, and work hands-on with production and editing to create professional, engaging, and motivating videos.
Key Responsibilities
Content Direction & Visual Storytelling
- Collaborate with coaches across fitness, dance, martial arts, and mindfulness to shape their on-camera delivery.
- Direct shot composition, lighting, and framing for engaging, dynamic visuals that fit Step.co’s style.
Talent Development
- Coach instructors on pacing, clarity, confidence, and connection with viewers.
- Provide constructive feedback to help them adapt their teaching style for a digital audience.
Production Management
- Oversee filming sessions, ensuring audio/visual quality and smooth workflow.
- Manage editing (directly or with editors) to deliver polished, branded content with transitions, effects, and graphic elements.
Quality Assurance
- Maintain consistency across all classes, from visual style to instructional clarity.
- Final review of videos before app upload to ensure the highest standard of quality.
Scheduling & Coordination
- Organize shoot schedules with coaches and production team.
- Manage the content pipeline to keep releases on track and timely.
Requirements
- Proven experience in film, media, or digital content production (fitness or instructional content a strong plus).
- Solid understanding of visual storytelling, camera work, lighting, and audio production.
- Proficiency in editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Strong communication skills, able to coach on-camera talent effectively.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
