Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Duties
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Build detailed pricing models for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Procore for efficient estimating processes.
- Collaborate with project management teams to assess project requirements and timelines.
- Negotiate costs with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing for materials and services.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference.
- Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and regulations that may impact project costs.
Skills
- Proficient in construction estimating techniques with a solid understanding of building processes.
- Experience with project management principles to effectively coordinate estimating tasks.
- Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in cost calculations.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex information clearly to team members and clients.
