We are seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in concrete work, with a strong focus on quality, precision, and efficiency in both residential and commercial projects. This role requires knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and repair techniques. The Concrete Worker will collaborate with other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble concrete forms, ensuring proper dimensions and alignment.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete, monitoring consistency and applying correct finishing techniques.
- Perform finishing tasks such as troweling, smoothing, edging, and curing concrete surfaces.
- Repair, resurface, and patch damaged concrete structures as needed.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and concrete equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work alongside other trades (such as framing, plumbing, and electrical teams) to coordinate project steps.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite while adhering to all safety standards.
- Assist in calculating required materials and managing on-site inventory.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Concrete Worker, Finisher, or similar role in construction.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding construction plans.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, masonry, caulking, and general construction practices.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and concrete finishing equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Previous experience in general maintenance or related trades (plumbing/electrical knowledge is a plus).
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and crew members.
