Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work and possess the ability to perform various tasks related to the finishing of concrete surfaces. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively on construction sites. As a Concrete Finisher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects meet high standards of quality and durability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up concrete forms according to specifications.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete to create flat surfaces such as floors, sidewalks, and driveways.
- Use hand tools and equipment to finish surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even texture.
- Apply sealants and other protective coatings as needed for durability.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals including carpenters and masons to complete projects efficiently.
- Inspect finished work for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in construction.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools effectively.
- Familiarity with drywall installation, flooring installation, masonry, and concrete forming techniques is preferred.
- Ability to weld or restore concrete surfaces is a plus.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
