Overview
We are seeking a Community Engagement Manager for a nonprofit organization focused on enhancing the well-being residents. This position centers on fostering meaningful relationships within the community, mobilizing volunteers, and amplifying local voices on key issues such as healthcare, infrastructure, and overall quality of life..
Duties
- Design and implement community engagement strategies through forums, events, and outreach initiatives.
- Cultivate strong relationships with residents, local organizations, and key stakeholders.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers, ensuring their contributions are impactful and rewarding.
- Amplify community voices by preparing reports, leading advocacy efforts, and sharing updates via social media.
- Monitor participation, assess results, and provide clear reports on impact.
- Travel across city regularly to maintain direct connections with community members.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in community engagement, volunteer coordination, or nonprofit program delivery.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proven experience in event planning and group facilitation.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license with access to reliable transportation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
