About the Canadian Museum of Architecture
The Canadian Museum of Architecture (CMA) is developing a museum dedicated to engaging the public in exploring the nature, history and relevance of architecture and in enhancing the understanding of its relationship to the natural environment. We are seeking a talented communications coordinator to help us connect with audiences, media and partners.
Role Overview
The communications coordinator will lead the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies to promote the CMA. Working closely with the museum’s leadership and design team, the coordinator will be responsible for crafting and sharing the museum’s story through digital and traditional media.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a communications plan for the CMA
- Manage the website
- Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, press releases and the museum’s website
- Manage social media accounts and grow the museum’s online presence
- Assist in producing promotional materials (digital and print)
- Liaise with community and cultural partners to amplify visibility
- Provide communications support
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in communications, marketing or public relations (or relevant equivalent)
- Strong writing and content creation skills
- Familiarity with social media management and email marketing tools
- Experience in arts, culture, or architecture sectors is a plus
- Self-directed, organized and comfortable working with a small startup team
- French/English bilingualism is an asset
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
