You will also manage the ministry's social channels, including collaborating on the annual plan, compiling monthly calendars and coaching our ministry-wide team of social contributors. You will serve as a backup for media relations and web content management.
Core competencies include:
- Verbally, in writing and visually communicate information to a variety of audiences;
- Research, write and edit a variety of communications materials, including communications strategies, news releases, speeches and publications;
- Develop content for Saskatchewan.ca and the Ministry’s social media channels;

The successful candidate will be proactive, organized, diplomatic and flexible in order to respond quickly and positively in a busy work environment. Familiarity with the agricultural industry is an asset, as is experience in the Adobe Design Suite and at least one social media content management system.
Typically, the knowledge for this position would be obtained through a post-secondary education in Journalism, Communications, Digital Communications, Marketing, Public Relations (or a related field), as well as related experience. Experience in media relations is an asset.
