Position Overview:
The Collision Detailer is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and restored to their pre-accident condition before being returned to the customer. This role plays a vital part in the customer experience, contributing to the quality and appearance of the finished repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean vehicles thoroughly inside and out to meet pre-accident condition standards.
- Perform final detailing, including washing, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces.
- Execute paint correction procedures such as wet sanding, buffing, and polishing as needed.
- Ensure all vehicles meet high-quality presentation standards for final QC and customer delivery.
- Use appropriate hand tools and detailing products safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed work for thoroughness and accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detail area and equipment.
- Assist the body shop team as needed with light prep or support tasks.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Delivery customer vehicles offsite as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in automotive detailing, especially in a collision repair setting.
- Skilled in wet sanding, machine buffing, and polishing techniques.
- Familiarity with hand tools and automotive cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team environment.
