This role is open to someone looking to grow into a Certified Icon Rocklear Installer and potentially a Lead Installer role down the road.
What You’ll Do
- Perform Icon Rocklear installs with precision on a variety of vehicles.
- Prep and/or polish paint surfaces to perfection.
- Execute wetsanding and advanced correction techniques when required.
- Apply ceramic coatings when requested, ensuring professional results.
- Bonus: Install PPF or tint (asset, not required).
- Maintain an immaculate work environment and handle client vehicles with care.
- Support the team with prep and handoff for other services when required.
- Collaborate with the team to meet daily install schedules and uphold Tap and Shine’s standards.
- Adhere to SOPs, quality control systems, and safety protocols.
- Review installs with clients, educate them on care, and advise on additional protection options when needed.
Who You Are
- 3+ years proven experience with ceramic coating installs and paint correction/polishing.
- Skilled in wetsanding and advanced correction.
- Comfortable working on trucks and luxury vehicles (Teslas, F150s, Rams, Porsches, exotics, custom hotrods, restored classics, etc.).
- Detail-obsessed, solution-focused, and passionate about automotive protection.
- Reliable, consistent, and strong work ethic.
- Able to work independently but thrive in a tight-knit team.
- Take pride in your craft and speak up when things can be improved.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years paint correction / polishing experience.
- Skilled in wetsanding.
- PPF or tint install experience = asset (not required).
- Windshield film experience = asset (not required).
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Comfortable driving manual transmission = bonus.
- Experience with DAP, Core, 3M, or similar cutting software.
- Physical ability: lift 50 lbs, crouch, kneel, move comfortably around vehicles.
- Applicants must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, masks, gloves, or other safety gear comfortably
Working Conditions & Requirements
- This position may involve exposure to fine dust, chemicals, and fumes during the application of coatings and ceramic products.
- You must be able to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., respirators, masks) comfortably for extended periods.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, crouch, kneel, and move freely around vehicles.
Compensation & Benefits
- $18–$27/hr based on proven skill and experience.

Schedule
- Wednesday to Sunday, 10am–7pm.
- 30–44 hours per week.
- Optional overtime available.
