This is a hybrid position. You must be in the Ottawa, Canada office, at least three days a week.

About the team

As part of the IT Application Excellence team, the Business Analyst Co-op/Intern is responsible for supporting wide range of activities related to needs assessments, technology selection, managing technology implementation and process improvement projects, and supporting business systems.

The Business Analyst Co-op/Intern will proactively partner with Kinaxis internal stakeholders and IT Business Partners to understand the business objectives, operating model and processes. Through this business knowledge, you will work with other team members to identify areas where efficiency and productivity could be improved using business process improvements and technology solutions. Essential responsibilities include supporting relationships, communications, business process development, improvement and analysis, data analysis, requirements gathering and definition, solution configuration, project coordination, documentation and training.

This is a full-time, 12-month position, starting September 2025.

To be eligible for a Co-op or Intern position at Kinaxis, you must either be currently enrolled in full-time education or, if you are a recent/upcoming graduate, your graduation date must be within 12 months of the placement end date.
About the role:

What you will do

  • Work closely with other Corporate IT teams, IT Business Partners, Application Excellence team members and business users to identify and analyze business processes, user and system requirements
  • Assist in conduct impact analysis of requirements
  • Conduct meetings with various stakeholders
  • Manage and update project and application specific documentation
  • Assist the IT Business Solutions team in system documentation, auditing, testing and application support
  • Coordinate new system implementation including timely data migration, user training and support
  • May perform additional projects upon request.

  • Currently enrolled in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • With interest or experience in Business Analysis
  • With interest in IT Application / Solution Delivery and Management
  • Who is curious, and interested in investigating and troubleshooting issues
  • With strong analytical skills
  • Who loves how technology can improve the way we work, is well organized and results driven.
