Crania Schools is known for its high-quality educational programs in Math, Coding, Robotics, English, and Piano, and its customer-focused service model. With two locations conveniently situated in Kitchener-Waterloo near public transit, we are looking for co-op students to assist with delivery of programs, and curriculum development as needed.

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching Math, English, Piano, Coding and/or Robotics both in-person and/or virtually as required.
- Reviewing lesson plans and relevant subject matter in advance of each class.
- Maintaining student records including student performance and attendance.
- Developing curricula and creating educational materials, as needed.
- Communicating with customers as necessary.
- Working with administrative and classroom software.
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in the center.
- Ensuring classroom supplies are stocked and technical equipment is functioning and charged at the end of each class.
- Opening and closing center as needed.
- Administrative tasks, as needed.
- Other duties as requested by the Director and his/her delegate
REQUIRED:
- Strong background in mathematics, english, piano coding and/or robotics.
- STEM skills and knowledge.
- Strong computer skills.
- Demonstrated teaching ability and passion.
- Punctuality, reliability and responsibility.
- Ability to work co-operatively and respectfully with the Director, parents, students and other employees of Crania Schools.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to accurately follow directions from the Director and his/her delegate.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and to be worthy of the trust required to teach students under the age of 18 at Crania Schools.
- Quick learner with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Creative, innovative and willing to contribute ideas.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Coding experience, e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript and/or Python.
- IB/AP Program.
- Piano experience.
CERTIFICATION:
Current Vulnerable Sector Check and Standard First Aid with CPR C required prior to commencing position.

Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
