We are looing for a CNC/Waterjet Operator for our Barrie Location.

As a CNC/Waterjet Operator you are responsible for operating the CNC Router, Saw and/or Waterjet Machine
Job Overview: QuartzCo is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC/Waterjet Operator to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone with experience operating CNC routers and/or waterjet machines to fabricate quartz, porcelain and natural stone countertops with precision and care.
Responsibilities and Duties as mentioned below but not limited to:
- Operate CNC and waterjet machinery (CNC Router / CNC Combicut) for cutting slabs (quartz, natural, porcelain, etc.)
- Load/unload materials using cranes, suction lifters, or forklifts
- Read and interpret digital templates and fabrication drawings (DXF, CAD)
- Set up tooling, perform machine calibration, and monitor cutting processes
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
- Clean and maintain CNC/waterjet machines daily, including inspecting parts and performing routine preventative maintenance
- Perform quality checks to ensure pieces meet spec and finish standards
- Collaborate with shop team and installers to meet daily production goals
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC and/or waterjet equipment in a stone fabrication or similar manufacturing environment
- Familiar with CAD/CAM software, digital templates, and nesting layouts
- Strong understanding of material handling and shop safety procedures
- Physically able to lift up to 50+ lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop
- Asset: Experience with finish work such as hand polishing, assembling mitred edges, and working with or repairing natural stone surfaces
