Cloud and Infrastructure Architect
Location: Toronta (Hybrid)

This will be a remote role to start, with plans to transition to hybrid 2x/week in office, likely in downtown Toronto, Canada.
The Role:
We’re looking for a Cloud and Infrastructure Architect to help shape the future of our technology platform. In this role, you’ll design systems that are resilient, scalable, and built to support a wide range of teams and use cases. You’ll collaborate with engineers and leaders across the organization to solve complex challenges and improve how we work together.
This is a high-impact, strategic role focused on long-term growth and broad technical influence. You'll provide guidance on cloud and infrastructure decisions, help us adapt to new technologies, and lead projects that make a difference across the company.
What You’ll Do:

Lead the design and implementation of transformational cloud and infrastructure strategies and systems that support the global OpenTable product platform delivery, and across multiple teams to support company objectives.

Partner with engineering and technology leadership to develop and communicate a clear technical vision for our platform.

Identify and implement changes that improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Provide architectural guidance across teams and help shape cross-functional technical direction.

Mentor other engineers, promote shared learning, and help grow internal expertise in platform and infrastructure domains.

Explore new tools and technologies and help the org make thoughtful, inclusive decisions about when and how to adopt them.
What We’re Looking For:

Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, infrastructure as code, and platform engineering across complex systems.

A track record of leading cross-team initiatives that have meaningfully improved engineering effectiveness at scale.

Demonstrated strategic thinking and systems-level perspective, with the ability to align technology with business outcomes.

Fluency in enterprise system design, distributed systems, microservice architecture, CI/CD, observability, database architecture, data engineering, and reliability engineering.

Proficiency in security architecture, encryption, PKI, secrets management a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of breaking down ambiguous challenges into actionable solutions.

Strong communication and storytelling ability - you influence through insight, clarity, and credibility.

A natural collaborator and team player, motivated by shared success and platform health.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this Canada based role is $220,000 - $260,000 CAD.
We offer a competitive base salary and benefits including: health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave benefits. This role is eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.
