About the Role:
We are seeking a dependable and energetic Cleaner & Setup Assistant to work primarily on Saturdays and occasional Sundays. You’ll be part of a small team responsible for cleaning, setting up, and resetting our rental rooms to ensure they are professional, welcoming, and fully equipped for each client’s event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide janitorial services for rental spaces before and after events (floors, surfaces, bathrooms, garbage, etc.)
- Set up and rearrange tables and chairs according to event requirements
- Set up audio/visual equipment, including podium, microphones, TVs, Bluetooth speakers, projectors, and screens
- Assist with resetting rooms between events, sometimes splitting your shift
- Lift and move equipment and furniture safely
Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial or professional cleaning (required)
- Physically fit and able to lift/move furniture and equipment (tables, chairs, AV gear)
- Comfortable with basic electronics and setting up AV systems
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and customer-focused attitude
- Police background check
Assets:
- Previous experience in event setup or facilities support
- Knowledge of safety procedures and WHMIS certification
