Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at a condominium building in Guelph. This is a part-time position (13 hours per week) with a mix of light and heavy-duty cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, consistency, and strong attention to detail.
Schedule (13 hours/week):
- 3 hours – Saturday or Sunday
- 4 hours – Monday morning
- 3 hours – Tuesday (mornings preferred)
- 3 hours – Thursday or Friday (mornings preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain common areas of the building.
- Clean and stock washrooms.
- Perform detailed cleaning of glass, windows, and stainless steel.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain large floor areas.
- Collect and remove litter from grounds.
- Handle keys, fobs, and elevator bookings responsibly.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, leaks, or security concerns to management (including photos when necessary).
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required.
Job Requirements
- 1+ years of professional cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and reliability are essential.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.
- Comfortable using a cell phone for communication (messages, photos, emails).
- Ability to lift up to 44 lbs (e.g., filling softener salt tanks) is an asset.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong attention to detail.
- Time management and ability to follow schedules and checklists.
- Familiarity with cleaning high-touch areas such as elevators, restrooms, and windows.
- Dependable, consistent, and able to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Compensation
- $18.25/hour to start
