Position Description
We currently have an exciting role for a Driver – Front Load (FL), Rear Load (RL), Fencing and Portable Toilets for various routes around central Alberta, located out of Calahoo, AB area.
Position Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive a Front Load & Rear Load waste truck.
- Safely operate, deliver fencing and service Portable Toilets.
- Perform pickups and drop offs in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights and brakes, etc.
- Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, ensuring timely arrivals and departures to project sites.
- Plan and organize efficient routes to optimize delivery for installation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to regulations.
- Perform hands-on loading and unloading of fencing materials.
- Help maintain equipment i.e., fix small damages on site, reporting larger damages as needed
- Plan your trip according to the weather conditions.
- Follow safety procedures for transporting materials.
- Additional duties may be required.
Qualifications
- Class 3 license with air brake endorsement
- 3 - 5 years Commercial driving experience
- Clean drivers abstract, and clean criminal search.
- Experience with Commercial vehicle operation, vacuum truck, cable roll off trucks and front load trucks is an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physically capable of manual labor, lifting, and working in outdoor conditions.
- Customer-focused with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing project demands and work effectively under pressure.
