Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chocolate Maker to join our team in crafting high-quality chocolate products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in chocolate production. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for the art of chocolate making within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Prepare and mix ingredients according to established recipes while adhering to FDA regulations and food safety standards.
- Operate machinery used in the chocolate production process, ensuring compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) protocols.
- Monitor the production process for quality control, ensuring that all products meet company specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, equipment, and tools used in chocolate making.
- Package finished products for distribution, ensuring proper labeling and adherence to packaging standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform basic maintenance as needed, demonstrating mechanical knowledge relevant to food processing machinery.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or processing, particularly within a food processing plant or similar environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP guidelines, and overall food safety practices is essential.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and maintaining records of production metrics.
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus but not required; training may be provided.
