As a Childcare Provider at Trenton MFRC, you will be an integral part of our mission to enrich the lives of military families by providing exceptional care and support to children. Your role will involve creating a safe and nurturing environment for children under your care, ensuring their well-being and development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to children, including those with diverse needs, under the age of 12.
- Implement engaging and educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to maintain a supportive childcare environment.
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines in childcare provision.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to update them on their child's well-being and development.
- Foster a sense of inclusivity and respect within the childcare setting.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in caregiving or early childhood education, preferably with military-connected families.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and early childhood education principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with children and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Advocacy skills to ensure an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all children.
- Fluency in written and oral English; proficiency in French is advantageous.
