Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with experience in learning disabilities to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pediatric mental health, strong clinical expertise, and the ability to work closely with families, educators, and allied health professionals.

Qualifications:
- MD with completion of Psychiatry residency (RCPSC-certified or equivalent)
- Experience in child/adolescent psychiatry and learning disabilities
- Eligible for CPSA licensure in Alberta
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide therapy and medication management to children and adolescents.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatment progress and outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in psychiatry.
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD ) with board certification in Psychiatry.
- Experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Previous hospital experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with clinical settings.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to psychiatric practice.
- Proficient in data collection methods for patient assessments and treatment evaluations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to empathize with patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
