Located at the base of Calgary’s premier luxury residential project, SODO, Orchard sits just outside the downtown core. The well-appointed dining room is reminiscent of European supper clubs, with ample seating, a custom-fabricated bar and a series of chandeliers which envelop the space in a warm, inviting glow. Orchard is open seven days a week, and is a destination restaurant for both downtown and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities:
Summary: Be a responsible, friendly team player.
- Communicating and working with other members of the team.
- Prepare and cook food as directed - knowledge of dietary restrictions.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation.
- Make sure that all plates that leave the kitchen are held to our standards.
- Knowledge of food preparation and storage.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Summary: Have a basic understanding of the Back-of-House operations, or be willing to learn.
- You are a genuine and supportive team player
- Previous back of house experience would be nice but isn’t required. We will consider the right person, with the right attitude who can back-up their abilities through previous work, or involvement in teams (school, work or sports)
- You pride yourself on your ability to learn new skills, your ability to work efficiently and effectively , your reliability and your ability to ‘keep your cool’ even during the busiest shifts
- You are able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks without skipping a beat
- You are solution focused and resourceful – you are proactive and take the initiative to find resolutions to situations
- You are easily coachable and see feedback as an opportunity to keep improving your skills and abilities
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
