Working as part of a dynamic Operations Department, you will work in the Central Control Facility (CCF) to monitor the day to day operations of the system managing on time performance of the Light Rail Vehicle, monitoring the safety of the assets and the customers, managing disruption and works on or near the light rail (training will be provided).

Experience and Qualifications
- Work as a Rail Safety Worker
- Shift worker, including nights and weekends
- Must hold an open drivers license at all times
- Proven knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be able to sit in closed environment in the Operational Control Centre for most of the shift
- Minimum completion of Grade 12. Certificates / Diploma in technical disciplines a plus.
- Plus: Two years’ experience in the transport industry, either in a control center environment or as a driver
- Experienced in transportation in a dispatch role will be well regarded but not essential
- Able to demonstrate analytical ability and problem-solving skills. Technical understanding and/or experience is a plus but not a must
Key Accountabilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing service performance within operational, emergency and incident response plans
- Participate in the training of new employees and refresher training for current employees
- Coordinating resources, which includes drivers and customer service staff, where required
- Receive defective reports from Light Rail Vehicle Operators, provide first-line support to them, and report to the Rolling Stock Maintenance function if not resolved
- Ongoing review of Operations Procedures. Production of daily operations reports and performance data
- On-site incidence response, attending to incident and coordinate incident recovery as KDR Commander
- Managing permit to works and site access authority including management of system power supply and of isolation and permit to work procedures with the technical department.
- Direct and co-ordinate all rail movement along the alignment and troubleshooting of defective equipment, report anomalies to the Infrastructure Department
- Monitor safety and security via CCTV and help points. Assist the Customer Information/Services Officers with passenger information requests
- Perform the duties of LRV Operator when required on the network
