Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing catering operations, ensuring high-quality food service, and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong background in food preparation, team management, and hospitality to deliver outstanding catering experiences for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily catering operations, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to meet event requirements
- Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive team environment
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of catering events, ensuring all equipment is properly handled
- Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and kitchen equipment, placing orders as necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues that arise during events
- Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for efficient order processing and cash handling
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction management
- Background in restaurant management or hospitality is preferred
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of catering operations
- Experience in interviewing and training staff members effectively
