We are seeking a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will ensure smooth front-of-house operations by managing orders, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting both guests and team members. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service throughout their visit.
- Accurately process customer orders using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions securely and efficiently.
- Answer customer questions about menu items, promotions, and specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter and service areas.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
- Assist with packaging food items for takeout or delivery when needed.
- Support inventory and supply checks by notifying management of shortages.
Skills
- Previous customer service or cashier experience is an asset, but not required.
- Familiarity with Jamaican food and culture to better serve and connect with our customers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and giving correct change.
- Reliability and teamwork skills with a willingness to support both front and back-of-house staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
