We’re looking for an experienced and driven Housekeeping Supervisor who can help us maintain our high cleaning standards across all our properties.
In this role, you will work as part of a team, focused on delivering excellence in every clean. Your attention to detail and keen leadership will be key in supporting our teams, ensuring that our cleaning standards not only meet but consistently exceed expectations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the housekeeping teams, ensuring our properties are impeccably maintained
- Work with team members to ensure processes are followed and standards are maintained
- Conduct thorough inspections of all cleaned units to maintain our exceptional cleaning standards
- Support the Housekeeping Manager with hiring, training and motivating a team of permanent and seasonal housekeepers
- Assist with scheduling team members to meet cleaning demands and optimize operations
- Carry out inventory, submit supply orders and ensure well-stocked housekeeping rooms
- Ensure all team members adhere to company practices, policies and health and safety protocols
- Plan daily tasks and assignments, guiding your team with clarity and purpose
- Communicate identified unit issues such as damages or missing items to Housekeeping Manager
- Utilize analytics and data to plan for scheduling and to identify areas of improvement
- Coordinate with other departments including front desk, reservations, maintenance and hot tubs to ensure guest requests and issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Identify and communicate opportunities for unit upgrades and improvements
- Will be required to work a range of shifts including evenings, days, weekends and holidays
- Perform daily team briefings and ensure teams have equipment and tools needed
Skills and Experience
- 6 to 18 months experience in a similar role (hospitality / resort experience is a bonus)
- Previous supervisory experience preferred but not essential
- Ability to lead under pressure and deliver successful outcomes
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to consistent quality
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and train team members
- Skilled in organization, follow-up, and problem-solving
- Strong computer literacy skills, including database management
- Ability to present information to groups of employees, suppliers and managers
- Ability to write reports, memos, and other business documents
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of unpredictable situations
- Calm demeanor when dealing with difficult situations involving staff or guests
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
