Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while processing transactions accurately and efficiently. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers, handle cash and electronic payments, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.

Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions swiftly and accurately.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise during the checkout process.
• Maintain an organized and clean checkout area to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for customers.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations.
• Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining inventory as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Utilize phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls as necessary.
• Promote technology sales by informing customers about new products or services available in-store.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cashiering or retail is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic math skills to ensure accurate transaction processing.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems and technology sales is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
