Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter / Lead hand to Perform, Oversee and Coordinate various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and maintenance services. You will be responsible for Working onsite, leading a team, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safety standards on-site.
Duties
- Perform tasks and direct work to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Supervise the work of employees and sub contractors.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Train and mentor team members in various construction techniques and best practices.
- Collaborate with manager to ensure timelines and project goals are met.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in general construction and maintenance services.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Valid Certificate of Conduct.
- Carpenter Red Seal Certification an asset but not required
