Overview:
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Deck Builder to join our growing team. If you take pride in your craftsmanship, enjoy working outdoors, and have a solid background in carpentry, we want to hear from you! This position involves travel to various job sites, so a flexible and dependable work ethic is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deck Construction & Installation:
Build and install high-quality decks using materials such as wood, composite, and metal. Tasks include measuring, cutting, framing, and securing components according to design plans.
- Repairs & Maintenance:
Perform deck upkeep, including sanding, staining, sealing, and replacing damaged or worn components to extend the life and appearance of the structure.
- Site Prep:
Prepare work areas by clearing the site, leveling ground, and setting foundations or footings as needed.
- Tool & Equipment Management:
Maintain and operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Ensure equipment is in good working order at all times.
- Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and ensure work meets local building codes and permit requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in carpentry, preferably with a focus on decking or outdoor structures
- Skilled in using a wide range of tools and equipment
- Solid understanding of construction techniques, materials, and structural safety
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and willing to travel to different job sites
