Job Description
Arcwell Developments is a national leader in modular and prefabricated housing solutions. We specialize in delivering high-quality residential projects across Canada, from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated construction professional to join our growing team. We provide steady hours and full-time employment through the year. Duties will include interior carpentry, framing, minor drywalling, and other renovation works. Any construction experience, such as concrete/masonry, is an asset.
This position is ideal for individuals with a background in carpentry, construction, or apprenticeships who are looking for consistent, year-round work with the opportunity to travel and grow within a dynamic company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general carpentry and construction tasks, including framing, finishing.
- Work on interior and exterior modular building components according to specifications and drawings
- Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and quality standards
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Follow health and safety protocols on all job sites
- Represent the company with professionalism on and off-site
- Install windows, doors, stair components, trim, and hardware with precision and care
- Assist in constructing foundations, setting floor systems, laying subfloors, and raising walls and roof structures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in carpentry, general construction, or a registered apprenticeship program
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and various weather conditions
- Willingness to travel for project-based work for up to 3 weeks at a time (or longer)
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
- Applicant is expected to have basic array of hand tools (other tools will be supplied as necessary)
