Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and care for individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private residences. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in the client's condition to appropriate personnel.
- This is full-time contract position
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or senior care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care and hospice care techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and provide compassionate caregiving.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Capability to perform cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe environment for clients.
- Familiarity with meal preparation that meets specific dietary needs.
