Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our food service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on food safety and hospitality. This role requires excellent team management skills, as well as the ability to supervise staff effectively while ensuring high standards of service and quality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of food service staff to ensure efficient operation.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Train new employees on kitchen procedures, POS systems, and customer service protocols.
- Assist in menu planning and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Provide support during peak hours, including bartending when necessary.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and inventory tracking.
- Experience in bartending is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
