Job Summary
Looking for weekend (Saturdays and Sundays) in-home care with at least 3 years of caregiving experience related to high needs seniors (Parkinson and dementia) and relevant diploma/degree. To care for a senior couple. Ability to speak Cantonese is an asset.
Female senior is non-communicative and immobile. Need to spoon feed and provide toileting/diapering care. Male has early dementia. Other duties: Administer meds, launder clothing, light housekeeping duties, prepare meals, etc. Able or learn to use mechanical lift. Assist with personal hygiene. First Aid and CPR. Criminal check required. Canadian citizen/PR or work visa applicants.
We will NOT sponsor work visas or hire foreign workers who have no work status in Canada.
Work hours: Saturdays (8 am to 4 pm) and Sundays (8 am to 3 pm) (total of 15 hours). Hours may increase with weekday/weekend hours if candidate is suitable. Location: In-home care in Vancouver near UBC. Compensation: $28/hr. Looking for commitment of at least one year or more. Submit resume and cover letter.
