Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and carpentry, with experience in cabinet fabrication and installation. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality cabinets that meet our clients' specifications while ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble cabinet components
- Perform construction estimating for projects to ensure accurate material procurement
- Execute trim carpentry and frame carpentry tasks as needed
- Install cabinets and fixtures on-site while adhering to safety standards
- Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks including drywall installation, flooring installation, and plumbing
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools are properly stored after use
- Assist in restoration projects including water damage restoration, mold remediation, and other maintenance person services
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in woodworking, cabinet making, or related fields
- Familiarity with construction site practices and safety protocols
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematic interpretation
- Experience with CNC machinery for precise fabrication is a plus
- Knowledge of various carpentry techniques including metal stud framing, plastering, stucco application, caulking, and concrete forming
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or renovations
- Previous experience in the restoration industry is advantageous but not mandatory
