About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring products are available to meet retail demand while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic retail environment, understands the appliance category, and is passionate about optimizing inventory flow, vendor relationships, and procurement processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of vendors to support timely product fulfillment across all regions.
- Analyze sales forecasts to ensure inventory turns remain aligned with Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets.
- Collaborate with vendors to understand and plan for promotional impacts on inventory needs.
- Create, track, and expedite purchase orders to meet forecasted retail availability dates.
- Manage and upload expected arrival dates.
- Drive improvements in in-stock availability while staying within OTB guidelines.
- Challenge and refine Category Managers’ forecasts during regular planning cycles.
- Coordinate with Logistics to ensure smooth inbound inventory flow.
- Partner with fellow buyers to manage transitional or crossover appliance models.
- Support project teams by validating and updating key delivery and availability dates.
- Proactively resolve delays or product shortages in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Work with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies quickly.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- At least 3-5 years in supply chain, procurement, or inventory management
- Industry experience is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a knack for solving problems using data.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of ePASS experience an asset.
