Our Finance Department currently has the following career opportunity in our Langley, BC office.
Position Overview
We are seeking a retail and operations Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong IT orientation and a foundational understanding of FP&A to join our growing team. This role will support key initiatives across inventory, sales, and labour, helping to unlock efficiencies and drive more data-informed decisions across the business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, building reporting tools, cleansing and structuring data, and partnering with both technical and business teams.
You will be a key member of the BBOS team with the autonomy to shape this role and make a meaningful impact. This is a hands-on opportunity to expand your skill set by working across multiple functions from finance and operations to IT and retail strategy. Why will you be a good fit for this role?
- 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or business analyst role, preferably in retail, logistics, or inventory-heavy environments
- Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, and SQL
- Experience working with large datasets, data warehouses, or data lake environments
- Strong understanding of data cleansing, ETL, and reporting best practices
- Working knowledge of Python for data transformation and automation
- Comfortable collaborating with technical teams and translating business needs into data solutions
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Tableau, Looker, or other visualization tools
- Familiarity with ERP or POS systems such as ECRS Catapult
- Background in finance, FP&A, or operations analytics
- Experience from a retail and warehousing environment with familiarity of AWS would be an asset
Key responsibilities:
- Support the development and transition to a perpetual inventory process, enabling greater inventory visibility and improved forecasting/replenishment
- Drive inventory turn improvements by identifying markdown, clearance, and promotional opportunities using store-level data
- Collaborate with partners (e.g., ECRS) to enhance reporting tools and provide ad hoc promotional activity analysis for senior leadership
- Build and maintain both warehouse and retail store-level dashboards to support operational and strategic decision making
- Design and build Power BI dashboards to drive real-time insights into store profitability, inventory SKU productivity and labour efficiency
- Cleanse, validate, and structure large datasets across inventory, sales, and labour systems
- Develop and manage data tables to serve analytics and reporting needs
- Extract and query data from SQL-based systems and create dynamic models
- Leverage Python for scripting, automation, and deeper analytics where appropriate
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to align on business needs, KPIs, and system integrations

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
