(MSI) is an independently owned Canadian MGA offering specialized insurance programs in the Commercial Transportation, Niche Habitational, and Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) sectors. We are growing — and we’re looking for a dynamic Business Development Representative to join our team and support the continued expansion of our broker network and market presence.
Role Summary:
The Business Development Representative plays a key role in supporting and expanding MSI’s national broker network. This position focuses on strengthening relationships with existing broker partners, cultivating new connections, and helping promote MSI’s products across multiple channels. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, tech-savvy, and comfortable representing the company at industry events across Canada. This role also contributes directly to MSI’s marketing efforts and digital brand presence, helping position us as a leading MGA in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current brokers; identify and pursue new broker partnerships through proactive outreach, in-person visits, tradeshows, and national events.
- Promote MSI’s program offerings, clearly articulating our value proposition to both new and existing broker partners.
- Support strategic planning and execution by tracking broker performance and providing actionable insights in collaboration with internal teams.
- Train and support broker partners in using MSI’s tools (e.g. portals, marketing materials) to maximize program adoption and engagement.
- Collaborate with leadership to build and execute marketing strategies, including the development of promotional content, sales tools, and digital campaigns.
- Elevate MSI’s online presence by managing multimedia content, coordinating social media efforts, and aligning campaigns with our broader brand goals.
- Collect and analyze market intelligence, broker feedback, and competitor insights to support product positioning and long-term business planning.
- Represent MSI at trade shows, conferences, career fairs, and other industry events nationwide.
- Respond to broker inquiries with professionalism and urgency, ensuring cross-functional coordination to resolve issues effectively.
- Champion MSI’s community and social responsibility efforts by integrating them into marketing and business development initiatives.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $62,437.53-$94,396.22 per year
