Overview
The COE Business Analysis Intern will be responsible for supporting key projects within Finance Shared Services, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and timeliness in their analysis and solutions. This role will collaborate with Shared Services team members to provide data analytics and insights as well as dashboarding to provide sustained visibility to information used to manage and optimize day-to-day operations using tools such as Alteryx and PowerBI.
What you will be doing
- Develop understanding of company data structures and reporting tools.
- Perform analysis of financial data reporting, reconciliations, and improvement efforts.
- Utilize tools such as Alteryx and PowerBI to streamline reporting and data workflows.
- Work with leadership, stakeholders, and analysts to document process improvements.
- Identify, document, and develop solutions for process inefficiencies or lack of data.
- Track and monitor metrics for project success.
- Work closely with IT and cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Implement structured tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide regular updates to the manager on project status, key challenges, and action plans.
- Partner with leadership & quality auditor to drive strategic initiatives and process governance.
- Collaboration and communication will be required with Shared Services and IT.
- Will contribute ideas and solutions for the Shared Services organization.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Data Analysis or a related field of study or currently working toward a degree.
- MS Office proficiency: Excel power user, Outlook, Power Point
- Experience with data analysis tools
- Quick learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and combines creativity, problem- solving skills, and a can-do attitude to achieve results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to complete assignments given aggressive time constraints with high-quality level.
- Ability to work well with colleagues in a team environment but also perform well independently with minimal supervision.
- Customer focused and results oriented.
- Resourceful: independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations.
