General Description: McKenzie Lake Residents Association (MLRA) is a private, non-profit organization, which provides a wide array of recreation services and amenities to its members. A key component to the summer operation is the rental and usage of MLRA recreation boats.
Reports to: Operations Manager and General Manager.
Hours of Work: Effective June 20th, you must be available to work any day of the week, approximately 30-35 hours per week. Shifts may include morning, afternoon, or evening hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Boat house attendants will focus on customer service. Attendants are EXPECTED to physically help guide renters in and out of boats. You will attend on the dock with the renting member to verify the boat is clean and in working order before and after each use. It is the attendant’s responsibility to record the boat number the member is using and verify it is clean and ready for the next use.
- Litter control – Every morning, attendants will spend 30-45 minutes picking up litter on the beach, beachfront, remaining high use park areas and parking lot.
- Enforcing MLRA rules and regulations.
- Ensure boats are empty of water and clean.
- Raking and cleaning the beach area.
- Raking and cleaning playground areas, tennis and beach volleyball courts.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with the public and staff members.
- To issue boats and equipment in accordance with MLRA Rules.
- To ensure that the, lifejackets and other equipment are kept clean and in good repair.
- To keep the Boathouse, rock retaining walls, and dock area including the boat launch ramp, clean and free of garbage at all times.
- To ensure that only members renting boats and their guests are present on the boat dock – no fishing from the boat dock; no swimming or diving from the boat dock.
- To carry out those tasks and duties as assigned to you by the Operations Manager or General Manager.
