Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders between the ages of 2 and 6 years old. The Speech Pathologist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans that enhance the quality of life for our patients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing functions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech pathology.
- Participate in case management activities to coordinate care effectively.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Pathologist.
- Experience in acute care settings preferred; familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
- Knowledge of case management principles as they relate to patient care.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is highly desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
