Centurion Apartment Real Estate Investment Trust (“REIT”) owns more than 22,000 multi-family apartment units and student housing beds across 28 cities in Canada and the United States. Overview
Reporting into the Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting the full-cycle recruitment efforts for Centurion Asset Management and Centurion Property Associates on a national level.
The Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist will also work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to implement innovative recruitment techniques to ensure that Centurion is able to secure top talent for key roles across both Canada and the United States in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Relationship Development
Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a brand ambassador for Centurion. Ensure that a high level of client satisfaction is achieved through consistent attention to Centurion's Vision, Mission and Values.
Ongoing Operations
Support the full cycle recruitment efforts on a national level. Build meaningful relationships with hiring managers, acting as a strategic business partner, helping to secure top industry talent. Conduct regular market analysis to determine the most suitable channels to attract and recruit top talent for hard-to-fill roles and locations. Continuously identify innovative and creative ways to attract key talent, ensuring that Centurion is on the leading edge of recruitment initiatives. Review all resumes and employment applications for suitability and fit. Conduct initial phone screens with qualified candidates and provide recommendations on which candidates should continue through the recruitment process, ensuring that incumbents satisfy the requirements of both the role and Centurion’s corporate culture. Build and maintain talent pipelines for active and passive candidates, specifically for key roles that are critical to successful business operations. Identify opportunities to improve upon existing recruitment metrics, minimizing the amount of time that it takes to close roles and increasing the amount of quality applicants. Work closely with our marketing team to develop monthly recruitment campaigns, helping to increase brand awareness and ensure that Centurion is recognized as an Employer of choice. Stay current with latest hiring trends and strategies, offering innovative and creative ways to attract key talent so as to ensure that Centurion is an early adopter of new recruitment technologies and marketing efforts. Meet expectations regarding time-to-fill and other critical performance metrics. Work closely with the Manager of Talent Acquisition to complete other special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- University degree or College diploma in Human Resources;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a talent acquisition specialist in a fast paced, high growth, corporate environment;
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task, overseeing the recruitment efforts for an average of 10 - 15 open roles at a time;
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize errors and correct future behaviours, taking full accountability for one’s own work product;
- Strong follow-up skills with the ability to identify creative solutions and independently resolve issues;
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with candidates across all skill-sets and job responsibilities;
- A self-starter and highly motivated, possessing the ability to manage tasks with little oversight and deliver results with minimal guidance;
- Strict commitment to discretion and confidentiality; and
- Experience within the Property Management and/or Investment industries considered an asset.
