About Us:
Poppies bagel company is an exciting addition to the downtown area, dedicated to providing our community with exceptional coffee, delicious bagels, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for passionate and friendly individuals to join our team as Baristas and help us deliver an unforgettable experience to our customers.
Position: Barista
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea drinks, adhering to our high standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and ensuring a pleasant experience.
- Educate customers on our menu and products, making recommendations based on their preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cafe, including the espresso machine and other equipment.
- Assist with cashier duties, handle transactions accurately, and manage the point-of-sale system.
- Support the team with opening and closing duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, positive attitude and a passion for coffee.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment is a plus.
