Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that all food safety and preparation standards are met.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer orders and handle cash transactions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for coffee and beverage preparation is highly desirable.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.70-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 24 per week
