Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team full time. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the workspace, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for order processing and payment handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and service areas in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks.
- Ensure all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and functioning properly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while following proper cashiering procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to create a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or as a Barista is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others are crucial for success in this role.
